The biggest E-commerce store Amazon.com recently enters movies business by just revealing its new movie website named Amazon Studios. The aspiring filmmakers are invited to submit their stories to this new website of Amazon. The winner will be rewarded with cash prize. The latest deal with Warner bros. will be promising work for Amazon in commercial feature films.

Amazon will give reward of 2.7 $ million to the top submission by the end of 31 December 2011 as per the company declared.

It is believed that Amazon is using the crowd sourcing process in the movie business. They have done the same thing during advertisement last year on asking the public to submit the videos for the TV commercial campaign. It is a cheap and risk free way of utilizing the online community.

Amazon has asked the participating filmmakers and writers to submit their full length scripts and test movies of length more than 70 minutes. They have instructed that test movies must possess the imaginative stories with great quality of acting and sound.  Fans will review the test movies and scripts and also give suggestions of any alternative perceptions.

Amazon has assigned some reputed veteran persons of Hollywood like Jack Epps Jr. screenwriter of Top Gun and producer of Bottle Rocket Michael Taylor, to decide the winners of the cash prize.

Therefore, Amazon wants to turnout the best project into full budget new films. Filmmakers will get 200,000$ if their submissions get turned into full fledged movie and more 400,000$ if movies makes $60 million or more at the box-office.

How to Update Your Kindle

Do You want to update your Kindle Device, but not sure that how to Update Kindle.  Do not worry,  Today, I will tell you that how to update Your Kindle Firmware or Software by following simple step-by-step instructions as under :-

STEP 1 :- Check Your Kindle Software Version: First go to  Home => Menu =>Settings. Now on the Settings screen you will see the Kindle version at the bottom of the screen (See below image for more clarification) . If you see “Version Kindle 3.0.3″ or earlier (3.0.3, 3.0.2, 3.0.1, or 3.0), please proceed with the steps below to update your Kindle to the latest software.

STEP 2 :- Now Download Kindle Software: After Checking Kindle Version, now click on the below-mentioned links to download the software update file directly to your computer:

Kindle Wi-Fi: Download 3.1 (Early Preview Release) – Please Note that Your Kindle Serial Number will start with “B008″

STEP 3:- COPY Software to Your Kindle Device: Now, turn ON your Kindle and connect it with your computer by using the USB cord. Now Simply, Drag and drop the new update file from your PC to the root directory of the Kindle drive.

STEP 4: Keep on Eye on File Transfer : Keep checking file transfer progress to ensure that file transfer to your Kindle device successfully before disconnecting it. After once the file has transferred successfully, Choose ‘eject the Kindle’ Option to safely disconnect Kindle from your computer. Now, disconnect the USB cable from your Kindle and your PC.

STEP 5:- Start the software update: Go to the Home screen => Menu => “Settings“. Now Press the Menu key again, and then select “Update Your Kindle.” (This option will be grayed out if the most recent update has already been installed or if the file transfer was not successful.) Now, Choose “OK” to perform an update. Please noted that Your Kindle Device will restart TWICE during the update process. After the first restart, you will see a message on the screen that “Your Kindle is Updating”.

STEP 6:- Once the update is complete: Your Kindle will automatically restart a second time. Now go to Settings page, and check the kindle version again. You will notice that now Your Kindle Version change to Kindle 3.1. Hurray ! You have successfully update Your Kindle Firmware or Software
